Library palette
The library palette speeds programming by providing a central location for the most frequently used behaviors and assets. This fully customizable behavior and asset manager stores elements that can be shared across multiple projects.
Lingo enhancements
Lingo, Director's object-oriented scripting language, has been enhanced to provide more control over Internet connectivity, vector shapes, scaling and rotation, and alpha channels.
Visual development metaphor
The Director authoring metaphor is based on movie production, complete with a cast (1), stage (2), and score (3). Import media into the cast window, and then place cast members onto the stage. The Score controls the sequence of your presentation.
Dynamic alpha channels
Director imports high-quality graphics with alpha channels. Once imported, the graphic or alpha channel can be controlled to create real-time animation and effects that provide truly compelling content.
Real sprite effects
